Anitra Frazier, Levi Yutuc, Mark Nelson, Brian Dovie Golden,Tyesha Moores, Kristin Cass, Melissa Romeo, Michael Foster, Jennifer Cronin and I will be discussing our work in the Witness: The Artist's Response show.  You will have an opportunity to ask us about our art in the Q&A session following the talk.

Space is limited so be sure to arrive 20-30 minutes early to get a seat. There will be limited additional standing room. In order to raise more funds for all of the artist's charities, we are asking for a $3 donation for the talk. The funds will be added to the donations from opening night and will be split up amongst all of the charities chosen by the artists. More information is available in the gallery.

Witness: The Artist's Response is a group exhibition of artwork relating to current political, cultural and social constructs. The gallery put out an open call and encouraged artists to submit work that personally responds to the present climate as it relates to the past, present or future. With this exhibition, we want to provide a platform for artists to be heard and make a difference. That is why each artist has chosen a non-profit to pair up with and 10% of the sales of their artwork will be donated to that organization.

We are living in an unprecedented time and with everything going on in the world, artists are consistently making work that will be the visual representation of our time. “Witness: The Artist’s Response” is a collection of works created by Chicago-based artists actively making work that bears witness to their personal interpretations on what we are all experiencing.
